Presentation of H2020 project “National Initiatives for Open Science in Europe – NI4OS-Europe”, will be organized in the frame of 24th International Information Technology Conference IT 2020, which will be held 18-22 February in Žabljak (www.it.ac.me). The Conference shall host lectures and round table discussions about development trends in the field of information and communication technologies, as well as actual problems in this field in Montenegro. This conference is one of the largest traditional scientific conferences in Montenegro, with more than 200 participants gathering each year. The participants come from all scientific and educational institutions from Montenegro and from the region. The conference is supported by relevant policy makers in the fields of science, education and economics, whose representatives regularly participate. These are the reasons why this conference has been chosen for such a promotional event at the national level.
University of Montenegro is one of the 22 partners, from 15 countries, which participates in NI4OS-Europe project implementation. NI4OS-Europe aims to be a core contributor to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) service portfolio, commit to EOSC governance and ensure inclusiveness on the European level for enabling global Open Science.
At this dissemination event, main concepts of Open Science will be presented, EOSC services and goals of NI4OS-Europe project, as well as ongoing and planned actions at the national and international level.
