National Dissemination event in Romania

The first NI4OS-Europe national dissemination event is dedicated to all categories of the Open Science Cloud stakeholders in Romania, according to the project action plan towards building the National OSC Initiative. The event aims at informing the participants about the overall project objectives and the results of the landscape survey run by the project about the Open Science awareness, the existing initiatives, infrastructures, services, policies, stakeholders in this field as a preparatory action for the National OSC Initiative set up. The event will provide also an overview of the Open Science/Open Data concepts and the activity of the Romanian OS Knowledge Hub (OSKH RO - UEFISCDI). In this context, a specific focus will be put on research data management plan in the European and national context. The next major topic is the European Open Science Cloud ecosystem and the main NI4OS-Europe priorities in supporting the development of EOSC compliant infrastructure and services in the South-est Europe. The final presentation is devoted to the FAIR principles due to their relevance in achieving higher transparency and reusability of research data.

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A section.

The event is organized by the Romanian partners in the NI4OS-Europe project: the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding  (UEFISCDI) and the National Institute for R&D in Informatics (ICI).

It will be held on October 27, 2020 in a webinar format. Representatives of research institutes and universities, e-Infrastructure and specific service providers, libraries, publishers and other interested parties are expected to attend the event.
