The national dissemination event was part of the two-day "Open Research Data in Slovenia” conference, 14-15 November, 2019, Maribor. The conference is co-organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, RDA Node Slovenia, NI4OS-Europe (National Initiatives for Open Science in Europe), University of Maribor Library, Arnes, and the Young Academy of Slovenia.
The activities of the NI4OS project were presented in separated special session “National Initiative for the Slovenian Open Science Community”.
The conference enabled the exchange of information on the activities and plans of individual research data-related services and projects, an overview of the implementation of the principles of the National Strategy for Open Access to Research Data, and an overview of the current situation in individual areas within the Slovenian research community. Establishment operators, researchers, research policymakers, and practitioners, representatives of academic and research institutions, and others were invited to the debate.
Number of participants: Around 80 attendees from the Slovenian scientific community signed up for the event.
