Description

In this event, we will go over various services that are on-boarded to NI4OS-Europe and talk about their usefulness and how a user can utilize them in their own research.

The NI4OS-Europe (National Initiatives for Open Science in Europe) project is being implemented by countries in the Mediterranean and Eastern European regions and it strives to make research software, data, publications, and repositories openly available to researchers and citizens in Europe. It focuses on making thematic services (such as scientific web applications), generic services (such as HPC facilities, cloud services, etc.), and repositories publically available.

NI4OS-Europe is part of the broader European Open Science Cloud project, in which several Central European countries are participating. NI4OS-Europe is receiving funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement no 857645. The two partners in Cyprus are the Cyprus Institute, which leads the Work Package 6 related to user engagement and training, and the University of Cyprus, which leads the Task related to the EOSC uptake in the community.

This is going to be a hybrid event with both physical and virtual presence (information on how to connect online will be sent to you after you register), which will take place on Monday the 6th of June, from 9 am to 12:40 pm.

The event will focus on presenting the services that are now on-boarded on NI4OS-Europe which is nearing its completion as a project.
